On February 2022 we worked on HealFoodie, a mobile app and website designed to provide personalized recipe recommendations tailored to individual tastes and needs. The platform includes a semantic recipe search, a digital recipe box, a shopping list, and options for grocery delivery or local pickup.
The Problem
Research has shown that many people, overwhelmed by busy schedules filled with work and personal commitments, often neglect their diet, turning to fast food or easy-to-prepare meals at home. This lifestyle not only affects their health but also diminishes their culinary experiences.
The Goal
The primary aim of this project was to assist individuals who struggle with shopping due to time constraints. Additionally, it sought to encourage healthier eating habits by promoting meals that are both nutritious and easy to prepare.
Our Approach
To achieve these goals, our team engaged in thorough user research to understand the needs and pain points of potential users. We then moved on to wireframing and prototyping, ensuring that the app’s design would be intuitive and user-friendly. Usability studies were conducted to refine the user interface and ensure that the final product was seamless and efficient.
Our user interface design focused on creating a visually appealing and easy-to-navigate app that would engage users and make their meal planning and shopping experiences enjoyable.
The Result
HealFoodie emerged as a robust solution for individuals seeking to improve their diet amidst busy lifestyles. The app’s personalized approach to recipe recommendations, coupled with convenient shopping and delivery options, makes it a valuable tool for promoting healthy eating habits. We are proud to have contributed to a project that not only simplifies meal planning but also enhances the overall well-being of its users.
